Accident to the glider LAK-12, registration N63010,

On 20 March 2018, the glider began to descend rapidly, and the pilot decided to land at the nearest airfield. During the landing, the wing of the glider hit road signs and the glider landed on the right side of the highway. The pilot was not injured. The glider was destroyed.

Safety investigation is conducted by the United States National Transportation Safety Board.

The Republic of Lithuania, as the country of design and manufacture of the glider, has appointed an accredited representative and his technical advisor to the accident safety investigation.
