Accident to the glider LS8-18, registration SP-3893, and the glider LS8-18, registration LY-GOT

On 14 April 2018, during a competition, the glider LS8-18, registration SP-3893, piloted by a Polish pilot, collided in the air with the glider LS8-18, registration LY-GOT, piloted by a Lithuanian pilot. Both pilots were not injured. The gliders were damaged beyond repair.

The accident safety investigation is being conducted by the Safety Investigation Authority of the Slovak Republic (Letecký a námorný vyšetrovací útvar).

The Republic of Lithuania, as the country of registration of the glider LS8-18, registration LY-GOT, has appointed an accredited representative to the accident safety investigation.
