Accident to the experimental ultralight aircraft Aeroprakt 22L2 registration LY-RRR

On 17 July 2020 06:22 UTC after landing the experimental ultralight aircraft Aeroprakt 22L2 registration LY-RRR bounced and run off from runway. The nose landing gear, propeller and lower part of fuselage were damaged. No injuries to the pilot.

In accordance with Annex I of Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1139, the aircraft is classified as experimental ultralight aircraft. Following Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No. 996/2010, the safety investigations with these type of aircrafts are conducted only if safety conclusions are expected to be made. Therefore, the assessment of aircraft accident has been started, after which the decision to or not to conduct a safety investigation will be made.
