Accident to the ultralight aircraft Flight Design CTSW registration LY-UDS

On 17 February 2021 12 UTC during the take-off the ultralight aircraft Flight Design CTSW registration LY-UDS loss the power. The aircraft ran-off from runway into the snow and overturned. The aircraft damaged. No injuries to the pilot and passenger.

In accordance with Annex I of Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1139, the aircraft is classified as experimental ultralight aircraft. In accordance with Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No. 996/2010, the safety investigations with these type of aircrafts are conducted only if safety conclusions are expected to be made. Therefore, the assessment of aircraft accident has been started, after which the decision to or not to conduct a safety investigation will be made.
