During the 5th FAI Junior European Gliding Championship, on 15 July 2021, the two gliders collided in the air. The glider Rolladen-Schneider LS 8a registration OY-SEX hit into the glider Schempp-Hirth Discus-2a registration D-2691 and broke its tail.

The pilot of the Discus-2a bailed out. The pilot uninjured. The glider was destroyed.

The LS8a glider landed safely on the ground. The pilot uninjured. The glider was damaged.
