Accident to amateur build aircraft Anbo II registration LY-BDJ

On 8 August 2021, about 13.55 the aircraft Anbi II, LY-BDJ, after take-off collided with terrain in Cesis aerodrome, Latvia. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. The pilot was fatal injured and the passenger was serious injured.
The safety investigation is performing by the Transport Accident and Incident Investigation Bureau of Republic of Latvia (Transporta nelaimes gadijumu un incidentu izmeklēšanas birojs)
The Republic of Lithuania, as a State of design and manufacturer and a State of registry of the aircraft, has appointed the accredited representative and his technical advisor to this safety investigation.
