Accident to the glider LAK-17B FES mini, registration D-KIBG

On 4 May 2024, the glider LAK-17B FES mini, registration D-KIBG, did not gain altitude after take-off at Paterzell aerodrome, Wessobrunn, Germany. The pilot decided to land in a meadow. During landing, the wing of the glider touched the ground and the fuselage of the glider broke. The pilot was not injured.
The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung) has not initiated a safety investigation in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
