Accident to the ultralight aircraft Aerospool WT9 Dynamic, registration LY-STB

On 22 June 2024, shortly after take-off, the engine of the ultralight aircraft Aerospool WT9 Dynamic, registration LY-STB, lost power. The pilot decided to land in the nearest field with the landing gear retracted. During the landing, the propeller broke, the lower fuselage and wing covering were damaged, etc. The pilot was not injured.

The Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents Investigation Commission of Spain (Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes e Incidentes de Aviación Civil) has not initiated a safety investigation in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
