On 29 June 2024, a glider LAK-17B FES, registration RA-0799A, was towed by an aircraft. After releasing, the glider entered a spin rather quickly and entered a deep spiral at high speed. The wings broke during the recovery from the spin. The pilot was fatally injured. The glider was destroyed.
