Accident to the glider L-13 Blanik, registration LY-GOO

On 21 June 2025 a glider L-13 Blanik, LY-GOO, which took off from Pociūnai Aerodrome (EYPR) for a training flight, on its way back to the aerodrome, struck the branches of a tree on the territory of a nearby homestead, then spun and crashed into the roof of a barn, and fell to the ground after impact. As a result of the accident, the cockpit sustained a substantial damage, the glider fuselage broke and both wings were deformed. Both pilots were seriously injured.
