Accident to the aircraft Cessna 172S, registration LY-FTG, and the aircraft Tecnam P-2002JF Sierra, registration EC-OBV

On 17 April 2026, during taxi, the aircraft Cessna 172S, registration LY-FTG, collided with the aircraft Tecnam P-2002JF Sierra, registration EC-OBV. During the collision, the aircraft LY-FTG sustained damages to the propeller and the front part of the fuselage while the aircraft EC-OBV sustained significant damage to the left wing. The crew of both aircraft were uninjured.

The Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents Investigation Commission (CIAIAC) of Spain has not initiated a safety investigation in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
