Accident with tugboat Zeus, IMO 6605503, and the pontoon T-6

On 13 July 2018, a tugboat Zeus registered in Poland, on her voyage from Klaipeda State Seaport to port of Antwerp, was engaged in  towing operation of a non-propelled barge T6, registered in the Register of Inland Waterway Vessels of the Republic of Lithuania. Two excavators were loaded in barge T6 as a cargo. While proceeding in the Baltic Sea, the barge T6 capsized, excavators fell to the water and sank. The tugboat Zeus towed back the capsized barge to the Klaipeda State Seaport. No fatalities or injuries were reported.
