On 30 November 2019, seagoing ship Lyrika, registered in the Register of seagoing ships of the Republic of Lithuania, while proceeding via Kiel Canal sustained a short failure of steering gear. As a consequence ship grounded. Soon after that ship refloated by herself and continued her voyage. No malfunctions were identified after checking the operation of the steering gear. No shore-based assistance was used, the vessel sustained no damages and the environment was not polluted.
