On 24 May 2020, able seaman on board the bulk carrier Interlink Levity, registered in the Republic of Marshall Islands, while at anchor about 9 nautical miles west of the Klaipeda State Seaport gates, was engaged in cleaning of cargo hold by using scaffold. Scaffold unexpectedly fell together with able seaman, who was seriously injured. The affected person was immobilized, lifted from the ship's hold, and when the ship entered Klaipeda State Seaport and moored at the quay, was taken to a medical institution. Accident was investigated by the Maritime Administrator, Republic of Marsall Islands.
