Serious incident to the aircraft Van’s RV-8, registration LY-LOT

On July 21, 2025, Van‘s RV-8 aircraft, LY-LOT, was performing a private flight from Paluknys aerodrome to Palanga international airport. At 14.16 hrs after touchdown aircraft veered to the right. The pilot braked the left wheel to keep aircraft on the runway. The left tire partially came off the rim and broke the wheel fairing. The aircraft left the runway to the right and stopped a few meters beyond the edge of the runway. The pilot and the passenger on board were not injured.
