Accident to the aircraft YAK-52, registration LY-RHI

On 8 August 2025, during a flight from Tannheim Airfield (EDMT) to Mühldorf Airport (EDMY), the aircraft YAK-52, registration LY-RHI, experienced an engine failure and was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Griesstätt. The aircraft was damaged in the accident. The pilot was not injured, while the passenger suffered minor injuries.

The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung) has not initiated a safety investigation in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
