Serious incident to the hot air balloon Kubicek BB45Z, registration LY-LID

On 19 August 2025, during an attempt to land in a field in Leliūnai municipality, Utena district, Lithuania, the hot air balloon Kubicek BB45Z struck power lines and broke them. Unable to continue the landing, the balloon then gained altitude and landed in a field near Miškiniai village, Utena district, Lithuania, 2,46 km from the point of the initial intended landing. Pilot and passengers were not injured. The hot air balloon was not damaged.
