Serious accident with general cargo ship Baltic Express, IMO 9243851

On 4 May 2022, while unloading metal scrap from the vessel Baltic Express, IMO 9243851, registered in Saint Kitts and Nevis, it was observed that water was penetrating into the cargo hold from the damaged ballast water tank. Measures were taken to repair the damage. No pollution, no injuries, no damage to shore infrastructure has been reported.
