Less serious accident with general cargo ship Saimaagracht, IMO 9288069

On 1 December 2022, ship Saimaagracht, IMO 9288069, registered in the Netherlands, after unmooring for departure, sustained main engine shut down. With assistance of tugs ship was returned to the quay. Pilot was on board during the accident. No injuries, no pollution or other damage were reported.

It shall be noted that maritime accidents and incidents must be assessed and a decision made whether or not to carry out a safety investigation within two months of the date of the accident or incident. Maritime accidents and incidents must be reported immediately to the investigator-in-charge of maritime accidents and incidents.
