On 10 August 2023 in the water area of the port, close to the estuaries of the Danė river, the passenger ferry Nida, reg. no. P-438 and tanker Danė, reg. no. LT-P-615, collided. During the accident the bulwark of the ship "Danė" sustained damage, which had no effect on the operational characteristics of the ship. People were not injured, the environment was not polluted.
