Less serious accident with tanker „Azuryth“, IMO 9431020

On 17 October 2023, ship Azuryth, IMO 9431020, registered Cyprus, while leaving Klaipėda State Seaport, sustained loss of electrical and propulsion power. Anchor dropped. Ship, with assistance of tugs, was towed to the quay and moored. During the accident the environment was not polluted, people were not injured, and shore infrastructure was not affected. Pilot was on board at the time of the accident.
