Less serious accident with tugboat Raduga Sirius, IMO9178020, and it‘s towed barge

On 15 January 2024, tugboat Raduga Sirius, IMO9178020, registered St. Kitts and Nevis, and it‘s towed non self-propelled barge was entering the Klaipėda State Seaport. While convoy was proceeding the entrance canal in the area of southern breakwater, the towed barge hit the ground with its underwater part. The watertightness of barge tanks was breached, the barge was towed for repairs. No pollution occurred, no people injured.
