On 18 January 2024, ship Patria Seaways, IMO 8917390, registered in the Register of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania, while entering Tanger Med-2 port, due to technical reasons sustained loss of control and underwater part of the hull touched the ground . During the accident, the watertightness of the ship's hull was not breached, the environment was not polluted and no people were injured.
