Less serious accident with ro-ro passenger ship Luna Seaways, IMO 9851048, and non-propelled pontoon

On 22 October 2024, ship Luna Seaways, IMO 9851048, registered in Denmark, while leaving Klaipeda State Seaport, passed close to the non-propelled pontoon, situated at the southern breakwater. The non-propelled pontoon was affected by waves of passing "Luna Seaways" and sustained some damages. Upon departure "Luna Seaways" was following instructions of local vessel traffic services. No injuries, no pollution or other damage were reported.
