On 4 March, 2025, the Portuguese-registered vessel Noordvliet, IMO 9518220, lost its anchor and chain while anchored in the Klaipėda State Seaport road in strong winds and waves. No people were injured during the incident, the environment was not polluted, and no information was received about damage to marine infrastructure. The location of the anchor has been determined, and its removal is planned.
