On July 26, 2025, the ship Jurbarkas, registered in the Register of Inland Waterways Vessels of the Republic of Lithuania, reg. no. LT-P-961, while navigating in the Nemunas River, sustained main engine shutdown and run aground. All passengers on board were evacuated. No people were injured during the accident, and the environment was not polluted.
