Less serious accident with tug-push vessel Luodis, reg. no. LT-P-994

On September 2, 2025, the vessel Luodis, reg. no. LT-P-994, registered in the Register of Inland Waterways Vessels of the Republic of Lithuania, while pushing the non-self-propelled barge B-1000, sustained steering mechanism failure. As a result, the vessel Luodis lost directional control and the barge B-1000 it was pushing ran aground. After the steering mechanism of the vessel Luodis was restored and the barge B-1000 was towed away from the shallows, the convoy returned to the port of departure. No people were injured during the accident, and the environment was not polluted.
