Very serious accident of the sailing pleasure boat Sea Hound

On January 31, 2026, a fire and explosion occurred on the sailing pleasure boat Sea Hound, with three citizens of the Republic of Lithuania on board. The boat sank. During the accident, one citizen of the Republic of Lithuania was fatally injured, and two others were injured seriously. The latter two seriously injured persons were rescued by a cargo ship nearby. The boat named Sea Hound is not registered in the Republic of Lithuania, its country of registration is unknown.
