On 9 August 2024, the ultralight aircraft Aeroprakt A22L2, registration LY-UCB, , flying over the Balskai pond, Vaidilai village, Tauragė district, hit water with its wheels and fell into the pond. The pilot was fatally injured and the passenger was seriously injured. The aircraft destroyed.
