International Day for Commemorating Air Crash Victims and their Families
20 February is the International Day for Commemorating Air Crash Victims and their Families. This day, commemorated since 2022, was established by the International Civil Aviation Organization in cooperation with the Air Crash Victims' Families' Federation International.
Today, on the International Day for Commemorating Air Crash Victims and their Families, the Safety Investigation Division of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, together with the entire aviation community, remembers those who have lost their lives in aircraft accidents, their families and loved ones.
Together with the International Civil Aviation Organization, the European Network of Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authorities, and international partners, Lithuania is constantly seeking ways to improve flight safety and minimise the probability of aircraft accidents and incidents in the future.
