On 25 November 2025, the Safety Investigation Division participated in the 17th User group Meeting of the European Marine Casualty Information Platform (EMCIP). The European Marine Casualty Information Platform is a database and data sharing system managed by the European Maritime Safety Agency, the European Commission and the EU/EEA Member States. EMCIP is designed to exchange information on marine casualties, to broaden and deepen the analysis of marine casualty investigation results, and to provide aggregated information that allows for the identification and profiling of overall risks. EMCIP is also designed to share experience gained in conducting marine safety investigations.
