Safety Investigation Division participated in ENCASIA workshop
The Safety Investigation Division participated in ENCASIA Working Group 7 workshop on “State Letters, EFOD and the alignment of requirements with ICAO USOAP” which was held on 9–10 September 2026 in Paris Roissy, France with the extensive support of BEA.
The workshop brought together representatives from the ENCASIA Member States, ICAO EUR/NAT, the European Commission, ECAC, EASA and partner authorities to exchange views and experiences on:
- ICAO State Letter coordination processes in Europe,
- the development and adoption of ICAO SARPs,
- EFOD implementation and ICAO Online Framework (OLF) self-assessments,
- common approaches to audit preparation and peer review activities, and
- the alignment of requirements within the ICAO USOAP framework.
The discussions highlighted the importance of continued cooperation, knowledge sharing and harmonization among European aviation safety investigation authorities in support of effective safety investigation.
