Safety investigation of the railway accident involving freight train No. 3503 was initiated
In accordance with the provisions of Safety Investigation Law, the Safety Investigation Division has initiated a safety investigation after being informed on 2 May 2026 at 11.43 p.m. that a train No. 3503 has derailed at Jiesia railway station.
The Safety Investigation Division sent a team of investigators to the site of the railway accident and started to collect information and evidence relevant to this safety investigation.
The sole purpose of a safety investigation is to prevent future accidents and incidents. A safety investigation does not in any way seek to determine who is at fault or liable. A safety investigation is independent of, is not connected with, or has no bearing on any judicial or administrative proceedings seeking to determine who is at fault or liable.
