The Air Accidents Investigation Branch of the United Kingdom published safety investigation report

On 12 February 2026, the United Kingdom Safety Investigation Authority published a safety investigation report on the accident to the glider LAK-17B FES Mini, registration G-CLTX, which occurred on 16 August 2025 in the South Wales Gliding Club, Monmouthshire, United Kingdom. The accident was caused by the airbrake handle becoming unlocked during a minor technical corrective action in the cockpit earlier in the day, resulting in the glider's air brakes deploying during the winch launch.
